It’s cross season now, folks. No avoiding it. Might was well enjoy it along with the rest of the hooligans.
Flannel shirts, pumpkin pie, jack’o’lanterns. CrossVegas. There are a handful of certain things that mean fall in North America, and the race in Fabulous Las Vegas is probably the most entertaining. The massive event draws a huge crowd from Interbike, the largest North American bike expo around and an event so large every bike brand calls in their big guns to make appearances.
The top men in ‘Murica are slated to start, including Jeremy Powers, Tim Johnson, Brian Matter, and Adam Myerson. An interesting name on the list is Liquigas-Cannondale’s Ted “Uncle Tedly” King, whose Grand Tour experience and expert reception of beer hand-ups make him a popular favorite for the the fans.
The women’s race is equally star-studded and includes MTB World Championship bronze medal winner Georgia Gould, Meredith Miller, Kelli Emmett, Chloe Woodruff, and Mary McConneloug. It should shape up to be a wide open race, though Gould is a rather alluring pick after he outstanding ride two weeks ago.
